This pivotal role involves overseeing complex mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to ensure optimal facility performance, safety, and compliance. The Senior Chief Engineer will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance teams, and coordinate large-scale projects to support manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of all maintenance activities across the facility, ensuring machinery and systems operate efficiently and reliably. Manage maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime. Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage equipment, ensuring safety standards are met. Supervise teams of technicians and engineers, providing guidance on mechanical knowledge, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques. Coordinate projects related to HVAC systems, industrial automation involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and other facility upgrades or expansions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular inspections of electrical panels, high voltage areas, and mechanical systems using tools like ohmmeters and schematics. Develop maintenance management strategies that improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) while reducing operational costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing process improvements and new project implementations. Skills Strong management skills with proven experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial or manufacturing settings. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (including high and low voltage), schematics reading, and industrial maintenance practices. Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting automation systems. Experience with CMMS software for scheduling, tracking work orders, and managing spare parts inventory. Solid understanding of HVAC systems, facilities management principles, and safety standards related to electrical work including high voltage applications. Demonstrated project management capabilities for large-scale facility upgrades or installations. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and stakeholders. Supervising experience in a fast-paced environment with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward operational excellence.
