In this role you will work directly under our Senior Electrical Engineer, supporting electrical design across both our standard production line and our custom team. Your focus will be the work that keeps our electrical documentation accurate and our builds clean; drawing revisions, engineering change orders, legacy drawing modernization, BOM accuracy, panel evaluation, and floor wiring support. You will be brought into real projects for industry leading clients, reviewed closely, and given progressively more scope as your judgment develops, all with the latest technology and the full support of engineering, manufacturing, and service. Who we are We are an innovative manufacturing company that focuses on growth and technology and enjoys having fun along the way. We have built an extensive and loyal customer base spanning aerospace, electronics, and automotive with significant involvement in the global expansion of the battery industry. We work with many of the major tech companies as well as brands such as Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Meta, Google, and Harley Davidson. Primary responsibilities Execute redlines and revisions to wiring diagrams in SolidWorks Electrical, following all
AES, ANSI & IEC
standards. Generate and execute engineering change orders, and verify each change propagates completely; drawings, BOM, ERP, and the active job folder. Update and correct legacy drawing packages: terminal labeling, wire numbering, revision data, and callout accuracy brought to current AES standards. Populate and verify electrical content on the Bill of Material against customer specifications and system specifics. Support Electrical Load Analyses (ELAs) on single, dual, and 3 phase applications; verify FLA figures against component nameplate and manufacturer data. Evaluate existing and legacy control panels, document as-built configuration, identify deviations from print, and recommend replacement or updated components. Support control panel and electrical device layout, including dimensional layout, wire duct and routing strategy, and component placement for serviceability. Maintain voltage variant documentation (208V vs 480V) so drawings, BOMs, and component selections stay consistent across configurations. Support cable and wire harness design, including pinouts, connector selection, and routing documentation. Assist in debugging floor wiring issues with electricians; fault tracing, wire ID mismatches, continuity issues, and terminal errors, and document findings so the same issue does not recur. Participate in Electrical Peer Reviews as a contributing reviewer, commenting on schematics, load calculations, and component selections. Verify manufacturer part data, and work with purchasing for part availability and cost, including identifying alternates when a component is constrained. Support compliance verification against IEC, NEC, CE, and IPC requirements, including
UL 508A & UL 61010.
Create and maintain work procedures and floor-usable wiring documentation — terminal overviews, routing references, and visual aids, not schematics alone. Provide electrical troubleshooting support to service technicians and customers. Required Experience Two or more years of SolidWorks Electrical. Comparable 2D electrical CAD with a demonstrated ability to convert will be considered. Four or more years of electrical design experience in industrial machinery, control panels, or equipment manufacturing. Two or more years of cable design experience. Working knowledge of 3 phase power distribution and low voltage control circuits. PLC and control component knowledge; able to read logic, identify I/O, and explain what a component does and why it is there. Sound component selection reasoning; able to justify why a given sensor, switch, or transducer is right for an application. Knowledge of electrical codes including NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and UL 508A. This position requires a hands-on approach. Comfortable in the panel, on the floor, and behind a meter, not documentation only. Great attention to detail. Wiring and documentation accuracy directly drive our test first pass yield. Great communication skills across engineering, operations, service, and purchasing. Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge. A four year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience. Preferred Skills SolidWorks Mechanical knowledge. Solidworks Electrical 3D knowledge. Experience building industrial machine and control panel assemblies. Exposure to automated panel build machinery (automated wire cut, prep, and labeling systems). Familiarity with refrigeration system components — compressors, valves, pressure and temperature sensors, defrost and safety circuits. Familiarity with DFM and serviceability concepts. Familiarity with current electrical engineering trends. An innovative mindset and positive attitude.
