EMC/EMI Engineer (Newton, MA, 02458) | 08/31/26 Job Description EMC/EMI Engineer Location- Newton, 
MA EMI/EMC:
  • Develop
IEC 60601-1-2 EMC
test protocols for pre-compliance and compliance testing.
  • Develop and enhance in-house EMC test capabilities for EVR systems.
  • Mentor EMC test script development and support software engineers in troubleshooting and bug fixing.
  • Analyze EMC test failures, identify root causes, propose corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with external test laboratories for EMC compliance testing and certification activities.
Electrical Safety:
  • Develop
IEC 60601-1
electrical safety test protocols.
  •  Establish and maintain in-house electrical safety test capabilities.
  • Perform electrical safety testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories for
IEC 60601-1
compliance testing and certification activities.
  • Support system-level integration activities and troubleshoot electrical issues. Test Equipment
EMC:
Spectrum Analyzer, Antennas, Near-Field Probes, LISN, Current Clamp, etc.
    Electrical Safety:
    Safety Tester (Leakage Current, Hipot, Ground Bond)
      Electrical Debug:
      Oscilloscope, Differential Probe, Current Probe, multimeter etc.
      Additional Responsibilities:
      • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical, Software, Systems, Quality, and Regulatory Engineering.
      • Drive tasks independently with minimal supervision.
      • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
      •  Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Support design reviews, risk assessments, requirements development, engineering documentation, and verification activities Required Qualifications
