Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position Electrical Facilities Design Lead Position Overview As the Electrical Facilities Design Lead , you and your team will be responsible for guiding multiple electrical facilities subsystems and their components from concept to final installation in a program that introduces new, innovative capabilities into an existing mission-critical facility infrastructure. Your technical expertise will drive the team through architecture and requirements discussions, electrical systems component selection and design — including power distribution, grounding, load calculations, arc flash analysis, and facility-wide electrical integration — testing (design verification and qualification), and integration, all while adhering to schedule and budget constraints. Your ability to effectively communicate with other disciplines and program management will facilitate an iterative, risk-based approach to developing a technical solution in a secure defense environment. This position may require up to 25% travel , as required, to customer sites, partner facilities, and field installation locations. What Sets You Apart We are looking for a candidate who is ahead of technology trends with experience in emerging facility technologies and electrical infrastructure innovation, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing electrical facility systems, single-line diagrams, and power distribution schematics. You are motivated to drive innovation around facility electrical design architectures, power systems, grounding schemes, and electrical infrastructure upgrades within operational environments. You bring exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams of 3-4 engineers across complex, concurrent facility electrical projects, and you are a team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others. A strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards, and facility electrical safety requirements is essential, along with experience with UPS systems, emergency power, switchgear, and PDU design and integration. Experience with R D environments or emerging facility technologies is a plus. Travel of up to 25% may be required to support field installations, site assessments, and customer engagements.
