Legion Technical Solutions (LTS) Build Advanced Test Solutions That Support Critical Missions Legion Technical Solutions (LTS) is seeking an experienced Principal Test Development Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense client's Sensor Test Solutions organization. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for designing, integrating, and deploying sophisticated test equipment. These systems support an Andover, Massachusetts factory as well as depot facilities located domestically and internationally. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work and can contribute across electrical hardware, test instrumentation, fixture development, PCB design, and automated test software. What You Will Do Design electrical test stations and test fixtures Perform electrical schematic capture and support PCB design Develop and integrate automated test software Execute assigned technical tasks in a collaborative team environment Support scheduled project and technical meetings Report technical progress periodically, including daily or weekly updates as required by the project lead Collaborate with engineers specializing in RF, power, digital, analog, hardware, and software Support the integration, troubleshooting, and deployment of test equipment Contribute within a structured, process-heavy engineering environment What Success Looks Like You will come up to speed quickly and make a meaningful contribution to projects involving test stations, fixtures, and automated test software. You will work effectively within project teams typically consisting of five to ten engineers and demonstrate the technical aptitude, communication skills, and collaborative approach needed to deliver reliable test solutions. At the principal level, you will also bring the experience and judgment needed to help guide technical execution, communicate risks, and support successful project delivery. Required and Desired Qualifications Core Technical Skills (Non-negotiables) Electrical Test Instrument/Equipment experience Power, RF, Digital Logic, Analog circuit knowledge Automated Test Software development experience Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have) Experience with project leadership, project cost and schedule management, i.e.
EVMS, MS
Project DoW (DoD) project development life-cycle processes Tools / Technologies Required Automated test software (C/C++/C#, LabView, TestStand) ORCAD and/or Cadence Allegro for PCB design, experience in any of the following:
Power, RF, Digital Logic Experience Required:
Minumum of 8-10 years experience
Education Required:
