FREDERICK, Maryland job type: Permanent salary: $200,000 - 220,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:
Design Signal Algorithms:
Model baseband/RF waveforms, modulation, and FIR/IIR filters using MATLAB or PythonConvert to
Hardware Code:
Translate prototypes into optimized, real-time C/C++, VHDL, or Verilog for FPGAs, SDRs, and embedded targets.

Integrate with
Hardware:
Partner with RF/hardware teams to interface DSP logic directly with ADCs, DACs, and RF front-ends.
Optimize Performance:
Profile code to minimize latency, power draw, and memory usage under strict real-time constraints.
Validate & Analyze Signals:
Conduct spectral analysis and automated testing to evaluate performance against noise, fading, and interference.

Debug on
Bench Setup:
Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers to troubleshoot live hardware integration issues.
Guide Technical Strategy:
Own system-level DSP architecture decisions and mentor junior engineers through code/HDL reviews.
