Responsibilities Support all phases of the system lifecycle, from concept to retirement Root cause analysis of system/component issues and/or failure Researching and reviewing ship's structural and electrical drawings to support system integration 2D and 3D modeling design and drafting of mechanical and electrical assemblies Prototyping Inspection and acceptance of material received from procurement or fabrication Factory acceptance testing Support all aspects of technical data package (TDP) development (i.e., Temporary Alterations = TEMPALT) Draft forwarding letters and process flow checklists Ship check and fit check of submarines Support all aspects of system testing and documentation, including but not limited to: electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) cybersecurity/information assurance Support fleet troubleshooting efforts Support the creation of departures from specification (DFS) Engage with traditional and Agile project management processes and systems engineering processes Identify and remove obstacles in the workflow Support with presentations and briefs to stakeholders Qualifications Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship). Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering related to submarine system development, system integration, or alteration development. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Linux, C/C++ Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and listening skills; Team player Ability to meet deadlines on assigned tasks and responsibilities Multi-task oriented and capable of prioritizing.
