Electrical Technician

Description Role Summary:

The VISE Breadboard Technician builds, maintains, and troubleshoots "Yellow Board" test benches used for Ford's next-generation software-defined vehicle (SDV) architecture. This role ensures that physical hardware (ECUs, wiring, and gateways) is correctly integrated for software validation.

Key Responsibilities:

Bench Assembly:

Build and populate test benches with ECUs, displays, and sensors based on engineering schematics.

Wiring & Harnessing:

Fabricate and modify automotive wiring harnesses (crimping, soldering, and pin-swapping).

Diagnostics:

Troubleshoot hardware and communication issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and breakout boxes.

Network Support:

Monitor and debug CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet protocols. Skills Engineering, breadboard,

• Associate degree in Electronics, Automotive Tech, or equivalent technical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems or prototype lab environments.
• Experience in reading electrical schematics and 12V power distribution.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools (Vector CANoe/CANalyzer preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced lab environment.

Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
