Job Description

About the role We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of the electronics inside our machine vision systems: camera and sensor boards, laser and LED illumination drivers, motion and trigger interfaces, and the power and I/O that connect our inspection heads to production lines. You will own designs from concept through schematics, layout, release to purchasing, and production working closely with optics, firmware, software, purchasing, and manufacturing teams. Our systems run 24/7 on factory floors, so reliability, signal integrity and EMC matter as much as performance.

Type:

Full-time Key responsibilities You will own each design end to end, from first concept through release to purchasing: Concept and requirements: translate product and customer needs into electrical requirements, block diagrams and architecture trade studies Circuit design: design mixed-signal circuits for 2D/3D vision sensors, including image sensor interfaces, high-speed digital (MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, GigE/10Gig

E, USB3, PCIE

), FPGA/SoC carrier boards, laser and LED strobe drivers, low-noise power, SBC interfaces and trigger and encoder inputs Component selection: choose parts for performance, cost, lifecycle and supply availability; identify second sources Schematic capture: create complete, review-ready schematics with clear documentation PCB layout: lay out multilayer, controlled-impedance boards yourself, including stackup definition, placement, routing and constraints for high-speed, analog and power sections Analysis and simulation: perform signal integrity, power integrity, thermal and worst-case analyses (SPICE, IBIS, SI/PI tools) Prototype build and bring-up: release prototype builds, then debug and validate with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum and network analyzers Verification and compliance: write and run design verification tests; lead EMC and safety compliance (CE, FCC, UL/IEC 61010, IEC 60825-1 laser safety) Design release: generate fabrication and assembly packages (Gerbers/ODB++, drill files, assembly drawings, pick-and-place), release controlled BOMs with approved manufacturer part numbers, and manage revisions through ECOs Hand-off to purchasing and production: work with purchasing on sourcing, lead times and alternates; support contract manufacturers with DFM/DFT feedback, test fixtures, failure analysis and obsolescence Across every stage you will also: Partner with firmware engineers on
