Hope you are doing well. We have the position below. SWAT/Root Cause Engineer
Duration:
6 months+ Auburn Hills, Michigan Support upfront EOL/plant test development and integration. Identify Engineering issues at plant and lead/track to closer. Prove out required routines on bench and plywood buck. Assistance on plywood buck build and trouble shooting. Assist in root cause activity for Supplier Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing Engineering activities. Q team and assembly plant support. EE Troubleshooting & Lead resolution on difficult EE problems & scope the problem to component level across locations: assembly plant ,fleets (CPG s durability, 3/36 fleets, Fast Feedback),mule build locations (pilot plant and garages),car shows, marketing events, and other special events.) Expected issues include wiring issue, build quality, networking, configuration data, plant testers, and system interface issues.) Hand off to component team and assist the further root cause efforts as required.Deliverables:
Delivery of Status Reports with summaries on Plant Testing, Fleets, Changes/Launches and Issues. Could be daily, weekly, or monthly depending on the status of the plant. Support of Q team meeting and assignments resulting from meeting. Issue Reports. Detailed summaries of any issues investigated. Will require vehicle level troubleshooting skills. Data. CANoe/ CANalyzer logging and analysis or other data as needed during issue investigation Change/Launch Implementation Reports for all EE Software and Controller Changes. Status Reports including timing, plans, status and result for Product/Production Evaluation Runs Manage a program timeline identifying requirements to support program timing.ALL:
Basic Needs position is based out of Auburn Hills ,Michigan and may need travel to locations. Need a valid driver''s license, willing and able to drive and test vehicles. (optional: chauffeur''s license to drive heavy duty pick-up trucks) Good understanding of automotive technology, specification analysis, system understanding, and strong analytical skills to ensure that systems meet the defined design expectations. Good understanding of CAN/LIN, the extensive use of CAN/LIN testing tools (CANOE simulation), traditional electrical testing equipment (voltage testing, etc.) in an electrical lab atmosphere to test, troubleshoot, and root cause vehicle systems on some or all test properties: Plywood Buck, Vehicle-Hardware-in-the-Loop (VHIL), subsystem Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and/or vehicles. Experience with electrical debugging tools such as a digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, CAN diagnostic tools (CANoe/CANalyzer), current probes and other diagnostic equipment including voltage Testing, etc Familiarity with Over The Air updates (FOTA, AOTA, MOTA, xOTA, etc.)Similar remote jobs
