Senior Electrical Engineer - Canton, MI Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer Venteon is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Canton, MI Requirements of the Senior Electrical Engineer Travel frequently (60%-80% travel) and for extended periods of time (two to three weeks), and complete work nationwide Own and maintain a vehicle that is reliable and suited for interstate travel Own and maintain a basic set of hand tools (wrenches and sockets <1 /25mm, screwdrivers, etc.) Possess mastery of the reading and interpretation of electrical schematics, and manuals Bachelor s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or an associated field Master Electrician certification and associated journeyman electrician license 10+ years of combined experience in electrical engineering, industrial electrical installation or maintenance, or an equivalent field Experience in operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other powered equipment Benefits of the Senior Electrical Engineer Competitive salary Advancement potential Full time Paid time off Medical / Dental / Vision 401k Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer Uphold health and safety standards throughout the execution of a given project, along with ensuring compliance with customer safety rules and regulations Work with Electrification Team peers and other team members to conduct site surveys and generate power distribution system designs and installation plans Complete infrastructure evaluations of existing power systems to verify capacity, load, etc. and generate one-line drawings Support the lead designer in the development of industrial power distribution systems Research and adhere to all applicable electrical and building codes and accepted best practices Work with municipalities and inspectors on permitted projects Coordinate with internal and external customer management teams in support of electrical project costing, quoting, and planning activities Work with operations team, and program managers to develop comprehensive timelines and resource plans prior to project kick-off Develop project level material lists and supply them to those responsible for purchasing Support the sourcing of technical system components and determine the compatibility of alternate options as dictated by project constraints Manage electrical superintendents, electricians, and subcontractors and provide direction regarding the execution of activities, and supervise their quality of work while on site Conduct and verify lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) of electrical sources prior to commencement of work Work with internal teams to disassemble electrical power distribution equipment, replace defective, worn, or failed system components, and reassemble If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format to abarry@venteon.com We treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
