As a Controls Engineer at General Motors LLC, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of robust control systems for manufacturing processes. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency and ensuring system reliability, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and safety. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Configure, program, test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components. Electrical troubleshooting and testing of controls systems, control panels, and associated equipment. Program, debug and continuously improve Fanuc Robots Support and actively interact with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality groups. Program and troubleshoot Siemens HMI's Continuously improve quality, cost, responsiveness & safety. Integration of new technologies into existing architectures. Work in a cross functional team to troubleshoot ongoing issues. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) At least 2 years of experience in PLC Programming or 2 years experience programming fanuc robots. HMI- Siemens TIA Portal Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to assist in troubleshooting. Servo drive systems
- Bosch, and Rockwell Powerflex and Kinetix What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Proficiency in industrial networking protocols
- Profibus, ProfiNet, TCP/IP and EtherNetIP. HMI
- Siemens TIA Portal and Ingition. PLC
- Allen Bradley Rockwell Servo drive systems
- Rexroth, and Rockwell Powerflex/Kinetix. Robotic experience
- Fanuc Vision
- Matrox, Fanuc, Keyence. This position may off-shift production support.
