This position is ideal for an individual with a strong electrical background, UPS experience, or a combination of both who is looking to develop a long-term career in critical power and field service. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of experience in electrical work, UPS systems, critical power, electrical maintenance, or a related field. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong electrical foundation, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and a willingness to learn UPS systems. This position will involve both scheduled maintenance and emergency service work at customer facilities, including data centers, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and other criticalpower environments. Minimum Qualifications 2-3+ years of experience in electrical work, UPS systems, critical power, electrical maintenance, or a related field. Strong preference for candidates with previous experience working with: o Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems o Battery systems o Electrical distribution equipment o Switchgear o Chargers o Generators and ATS systems o Critical power infrastructure Candidates with a strong electrical background but limited UPS experience will be considered if they are willing and motivated to learn UPS systems. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams. Basic understanding of AC/DC power, voltage, current, resistance, and three-phase electrical systems. Comfortable working around 480/277V and 208/120V electrical systems within the limits of their training and authorization. Ability to safely use electrical test equipment, including multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand technical documentation, equipment manuals, and manufacturer procedures. Experience with battery replacement and battery systems is preferred. Job Responsibilities Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on UPS and critical power equipment. Performing UPS battery inspections and replacements. Troubleshooting UPS alarms, failures, and system issues. Performing electrical testing and diagnostics. Inspecting electrical distribution equipment and identifying potential problems. Assisting with UPS installations, removals, replacements, and upgrades. Responding to customer service calls and emergency outages. Supporting equipment start-ups, shutdowns, and maintenance activities. Completing service reports and documenting equipment conditions. Communicating findings and recommendations to customers and management. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Following all company, customer, and applicable electrical safety procedures.
