Position Summary JLL is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing building automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and related control systems to ensure seamless facility operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement and cost savings. This is a 1st shift position. Key Responsibilities Systems Management & Technical SupportRespond to and resolve Maximo preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, Corrigo work orders, and client service calls dailybuilding management systems (BMS), including Tridium platforms, ensuring proper functionality in coordination with contractorsCreate and maintain backups of all PLC, HMI, and VFD software parameters on a monthly basisProvide emergency after-hours support for critical facility systems as needed Documentation & CompliancePrepare weekly and monthly EPA reports for the Environmental TeamDevelop and update Technical Information System (TIS) documents for the maintenance teamMaintain and update facility drawings and logic repositories in dual locations (JLL and client SharePoint)Complete problem-solving documentation and safety catch reports monthly Team Support & LeadershipTrain and mentor maintenance technicians on Maximo, computer systems, and technical proceduresAssist with supervisory tasks including work permit creation, onboarding, and communication with client leadershipCoordinate weekend coverage for off-site incident commander dutiesParticipate in weekly JLL team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Strategic InitiativesLead controls projects focused on continuous improvement and cost savingsResearch and recommend alternative options for discontinued parts and equipmentManage and maintain three operational maintenance laptops with required software and IT updates Required Qualifications Education & ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field preferredMinimum 3-5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems Technical SkillsProficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)Experience with building management systems, particularly TridiumStrong understanding of VFDs, HMI systems, and SCADA applicationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings Software & SystemsMaximo CMMS experience requiredProficiency with Corrigo work order management systemCompetency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePointJLL Workday, JLL Connect, and Cority experience preferred Certifications & TrainingLockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification requiredFirst Aid/CPR certification requiredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferredEPA compliance training experience preferred CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsFlexibility to provide off-hours emergency support when requiredCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Physical RequirementsAbility to work in industrial environments including labs and mechanical roomsComfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessaryCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionallyAble to stand, walk, climb, and kneel for extended periods What JLL OffersCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageOngoing technical and professional development trainingOpportunities for career advancement within a global organizationCollaborative team environment focused on innovation and excellence JLL is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
