Job Description

Controls Engineer 3#26-17651 $50.56-$55.30 per hour Redford, MI Onsite Job Description Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Controls Engineer 3 for their Redford, MI location.
Responsibilities:
Direct production line support of controls logic, PLC and NC programming in Siemens based hardware platform (60%) Design and implement control systems for industrial equipment and automated processes. Implement and support hardware and software for
PLC, CNC & HMI
controls Configure and integrate sensors, actuators, and other control devices into systems. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate control solutions. Maintain documentation for control systems, including wiring diagrams and program logic. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all control designs. Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams.
Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens or similar platforms). Experience with HMI systems and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus). Knowledge of electrical schematics, instrumentation, and control theory. Experience/willingness to move and modify Kuka positions when required Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety regulations. ious experience with troubleshooting and maintaining automated systems. Proficient with PC hardware and commercially available software Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related discipline required. 5-7 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation (internship experience preferred). Knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
