Job Description

The Student Program at Nexteer Automotive offers high‑potential students meaningful opportunities to apply classroom learning in a professional environment while gaining hands‑on experience and valuable industry exposure. This position supports the Electrical validation (EE) Lab activities. Work with validation engineers and lab team to understand the processes of the lab including the quality system, and testing Work with the lab team to improve processes in place for the lab Handle the EE labs purchases and shippers for parts/equipment Assist in maintaining computer hardware, software and test equipment Work with lab team to support/assist in testing when needed Learn the processes of Nexteer Automotive within and outside of the EE Lab team
Requirements:
Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters Up to 40 in the summer Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters Up to 40 hours during the summer Candidate must have growing knowledge and application of Electrical Engineering principles Candidate must have strong mathematical and analytic ability Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access, SQL) Candidate must have excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detail Candidate must have an understanding of typical electrical bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Multimeters, etc) Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship Nexteer is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disabled/Minorities/Veterans/Women Nexteer is an E-Verify employer.
