ThisroleisresponsibleformanagingalloftheactivitiesandpersonnelinourSoftwareEngineeringorganization.

Functionsincludemiddlewareapplications(coordinationacrossthevehicle,powercontrol,statesandmodes)andfirepower(allturretinterfaces).

Responsibilities/Assignments:

ThisroleisresponsibleforprovidingleadershipandtechnicaldirectiontooursoftwareMiddlewareapplicationsandFirepowersoftwareengineersthatdevelopanddeliverhighqualityworkthatgoesintoourcombatvehicles.

Willconductinterviews,hireandmentornewemployeesensuringthetechnicallycompetencyissuccessfulinordertoexecuteprojects.

LeadstheproductdevelopmentandintegrationactivitiesfortheMiddlewareapplicationsandFirepowerarea.

Ensuresthatthesoftwareisdesignedanddevelopedusingindustrystandardmethodsalongwithensuringthecodequality,performancestabilityandsecuritymeasures.

Providesguidanceonthehardwarerequirementsandspecificationsofthedesigndescriptionsperthecustomer'sspecs.

EnsuresthattheSAR(SpecialAccessRequirements),MilitaryStandards(DoD)andCDRL(ContractDataRequirementsList)arefollowedandincompliance.

Managessectionbudgetsandtimeframeschedulestoensuredeliverablesaremet,ontimeandwithinbudgetedcosts.

Isresponsibleforthecoordinationandassignmentoftasksfortheareasoftwareengineersaligningdutieswithexperiencelevelandskillsets.

Ensuresthatallofthesoftwaretoolsandtrainingforstaffismet.

Reviewsmanpowerdemandsandensuresaccuracyandstaffingcommitmentsaremet.

Performsquarterlyandyearlyperformancereviewsofpersonnelandconductsstaffmeetings.

Createsanenvironmentofteamworkandinter-groupcoordinationamongststaff.

WilladdresspersonnelissuesasrequiredinaccordancewiththeGDLSCodeofEthics.

Supportstheprogramleadsinachievingteamcommitmentswhenneeded.

Developsandtracksdepartmentmetrics.

Involvementandinputwithproposalsforcustomersalongwithpresentationswhenneeded.
