This role is responsible for leading electrical design activities on assigned projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical mentorship to engineers and designers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial controls, automation systems, power distribution, and electrical system integration within a manufacturing or engineered products environment. Primary Responsibilities Electrical System Design & Development Develop electrical system architectures and detailed designs based on product and project requirements. Design, integrate, and support industrial automation solutions, including PLC-based controls, motor control systems, variable frequency drives, and machine control platforms. Evaluate existing equipment designs and develop enhancements or modifications to improve performance, reliability, and functionality. Perform engineering calculations, analysis, testing, and validation activities to ensure designs meet technical specifications and operational requirements. Create and maintain engineering documentation, schematics, and technical reports. Project Execution & Coordination Lead and coordinate assigned engineering tasks to support project timelines and deliverables. Develop project estimates, track progress, and communicate status updates to stakeholders. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations throughout the product development lifecycle. Technical Leadership Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, designers, and drafting personnel. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements, resolve technical challenges, and develop effective solutions. Support internal teams and customers by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance when needed. Education Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting electromechanical systems or industrial equipment. Technical Skills Experience with industrial automation and control systems. Understanding of electrical system design, integration, testing, and validation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams. Experience facilitating technical discussions and engineering reviews. Preferred Qualifications Education Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: 480VAC electrical power distribution systems Generator and power management controls Industrial automation and machine control systems AC and DC motor-driven systems Variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motor control technologies Technical leadership of engineers, designers, or project teams Certifications Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred Additional Skills Experience with Autodesk design software. Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering change management processes.
