We are looking for an Advanced Controls Engineer to join our Automation business segment. This team specializes in designing and building automated assembly systems. Whether it's consumer goods, semiconductors, or lifesaving medical devices, our assembly systems incorporate the full suite of the latest technology in vision, motion control and laser integration with next-level precision. Success Criteria:
Bringing a continuous learner mindset to work, the Advanced Controls Engineer will design, develop, and drive control systems to produce industry-leading products and solutions. You'll primarily work independently on projects but will have a community of engineers from which to leverage experience. If you are a driven engineering who wants to use your problem-solving skills to innovate the application of motion control, robotics, PLC/PC programming, and/or vision applications to accomplish customer requirements, this might be the career move you've been looking for. While improving project deliverables in a collaborative environment, our teams will rely on your well-versed know-how in controls engineering and time management to close out open projects while initiating new ones. Your ability and desire to foster a culture of continuous learning by contributing to how we innovate electrical control system design, software programing and new system integration will help you and a cross functional project team hit the ground running together. Qualifications 3+ years of controls engineering experience BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering Ability to support a variety of project tasks including but not limited to: Understanding customer requirements Designing controls systems Writing software (PLC, PC, HMI, Robot, Vision, etc.) Powering up and commissioning machines Checking out software and machine processes Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing Proficient experience in the application of PLC/PC programming, motion control, robotics, and vision for automation. Preferably experience with some of the following: Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View Cognex VisionPro and Insight Fanuc TP Programming and RoboGuide Epson RC+ Omron Sysmac Studio and Ace Visual Studio C# and VB Other relevant experience in this space. Ability to provide some mentorship to junior engineers Demonstrated to drive individual tasks to completion, with increasing independence on projects over time. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $85,000-105,000 annually. #
