- Electrical Engineer (Entry)
- As an Electrical Engineer I, you are responsible for the design, planning, execution, documentation, commissioning, and handover of specific technical work packages to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Design, plan, execute, document, commission, and hand over electrical work packages to meet schedule, scope, and budget constraints; + Assist in the development of electrical and process-control engineering designs for facility and capital projects, including one-line diagrams, power distribution drawings, grounding layouts, lighting plans, and installation details; + Support the design and evaluation of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems; + Prepare project cost estimates, equipment specifications, technical reports, purchase requisitions, bid packages, and engineering documentation; + Specify, select, and support procurement of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control system components and review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance; + Support PLC-based process control system design and associated field devices, and collaborate with designers and senior engineers on control system drawings and documentation; + Participate in field inspections, equipment commissioning, startup activities, system qualification testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, power distribution, instrumentation, and control systems; + Collaborate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, electrical codes, engineering practices, and company requirements.WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (will accept candidates that graduate in Dec 2026 or May 2027) + Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems, motor controls, and industrial electrical equipment; + Exposure to PLCs, instrumentation, or industrial control systems through coursework, internships, co-op assignments, or professional experience; + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications; + Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills; + Ability to travel to manufacturing and research facilities as reqquired.Preferred Qualifications:
+ Internship, co-op, or project experience in industrial, manufacturing, process, agricultural, chemical, or utility environments; + 0-3 years of electrical engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to apply engineering fundamentals. + Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable electrical standards; + Familiarity with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar engineering design software; + Exposure to PLC programming platforms such as Allen‑Bradley or Siemens and experience with industrial automation, power system studies, lighting design, or instrumentation. Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $73,120.00- $109,680.00 .Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
