This role is vital in ensuring that our buildings and equipment operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong facilities background and electrical expertise, with a passion for facilities maintenance and a commitment to excellence. As a Senior Facilities Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, functional environment that supports our operational goals and enhances overall productivity. Duties Oversee daily facilities maintenance activities, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct repairs using welding skills and interpret schematics for complex systems to diagnose issues accurately. Manage preventative maintenance schedules within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on technical tasks, safety protocols, and best practices in facilities management. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control building automation systems for HVAC, lighting, and security. Perform electrical work including wiring, circuit testing with an ohmmeter, and troubleshooting electrical failures in accordance with safety standards. Lead projects such as residential painting or facility upgrades while coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure quality results. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety compliance documentation. Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and environmental standards while fostering a culture of safety awareness among team members. Collaborate with manufacturing or operations teams to support facility needs that impact production efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge and electrical experience. Supervising or leadership experience in a facilities or manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, welding techniques, and the use of tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for interior/exterior touch-ups within facility spaces. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and vendors. Ability to interpret technical documentation accurately and execute tasks independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure.
