Job Overview TUTCO Farnam Custom Products is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Technology Graduate to join our engineering team in Arden, North Carolina. This position is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals from two-year and four-year engineering programs who want hands-on experience designing industrial heating systems, control panels, and automation solutions. The role includes electrical design, control panel development, CAD-based engineering, and support of custom-engineered heating products. Duties What You'll Do Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts. Develop and support PLC-based control systems for industrial heating and process applications. Create and modify PLC programs using industry-standard platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Emerson, ABB, or Mitsubishi.

Configure HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, VFDs, and industrial networking components. Troubleshoot electrical control systems and assist with system testing and commissioning. Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation using CAD software. Support product development from concept through manufacturing. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, sales, and manufacturing teams to deliver. innovative solutions Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of technical education and applicable industry experience) in: Electrical Engineering Electrical Engineering Technology Mechatronics Automation Engineering Technology Industrial Systems Technology Related engineering discipline Understanding of electrical circuits, motor controls, and industrial control systems Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams PLC programming experience through coursework, labs, internships, co-ops, or industry experience preferred Familiarity with HMI development and industrial communication protocols is a plus CAD experience preferred Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Ideal Candidates Students and recent graduates from local community colleges and universities who are interested in: Industrial Automation PLC Programming Control Panel Design Electrical System Design Manufacturing Engineering Process Controls Product Development Why TUTCO Farnam?
