Responsibilities Produce computer-aided electrical distribution design drawings and Bills of Material (BOM) required for the construction of complex projects with minimal oversight Perform accurate and efficient field data collection using standard tools, methods, and processes, including project-specific inspections Apply technical calculations such as cable pulling, voltage drop, transformer loading, and pole loading analysis Develop an understanding of client construction standards, workflows, and customer charging guidelines Prepare permitting and project-support documentation as required Communicate effectively with clients and lead site meetings with minimal supervision Demonstrate the ability to pursue and secure work from clients Identify hazards within the electrical distribution system and take appropriate action to prevent unsafe conditions in both office and field environments Actively promote safety awareness and look out for the safety of others Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and comply with driving and site hazard identification, mitigation, and reporting requirements Support storm response efforts as a local or traveling team member, serving as an Assessor or Team Lead when needed Education Four-year ABET-accredited Engineering degree Four (4) years of relevant experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in electrical distribution design Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam may be credited as six months of relevant experience An active Professional Engineer (PE) license may substitute for two (2) years of relevant work experience Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
