Job Description
Drive Technical Excellence in Aircraft Electronics We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer who thrives in troubleshooting complex systems, performing root cause analysis, and developing repair solutions for high-value aerospace components. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in sensor systems, circuit-level diagnostics, actuator assemblies, or other precision electro-mechanical systems who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering analysis and real-world hardware repair. As part of our FAA Part 145 Repair Station, you will lead technical evaluations, develop compliant repair processes, and help expand new repair capabilities aligned with OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs). Responsibilities Perform technical evaluations of electrical and electronic aircraft components to determine repair feasibility per OEM CMM guidelines Conduct detailed root cause analysis on failed assemblies and subcomponents Develop, document, and validate repair procedures that restore full functionality Interpret and apply CMMs, AMMs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and system specifications Design and execute functional test procedures using existing test equipment Select and validate electrical components (resistors, capacitors, connectors, semiconductors, wiring, etc.) for compliant repairs Support disassembly, rework, and reassembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, repeatability, and quality Lead technical implementation of new repair capabilities within our FAA 145 Repair Station Provide technical mentorship and guidance to technicians and cross-functional teams Ideal Background We are looking for engineers who bring strong analytical and hands-on technical experience, such as: Root cause failure analysis in complex electronic systems Sensor systems, actuator assemblies, or servo-controlled systems Circuit board diagnostics and repair Motor, solenoid, transformer, or winding assemblies Switches, torque motors, or servo valve assemblies Experience in regulated, quality-driven environments (aerospace, defense, medical, industrial controls, etc.) Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Minimum 5 years of experience in a repair station, MRO, manufacturing, or production engineering environment Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies at the component level Familiarity with aerospace technical documentation (CMMs, AMMs, IPC standards, etc.) Strong technical writing skills with experience creating repair instructions or engineering documentation Proficiency with schematics and electrical diagrams Experience using standard lab and diagnostic equipment Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Eligibility to work in the United States and valid driver's license
