An Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and tests products and systems that use or produce electricity, including power generators, electric motors, radar and navigation systems, and communication systems. Works on larger electrical systems rather than small electronic products or devices.
ProStaffing is seeking an Electrical / Controls Engineer to design, develop, program, and maintain automation and control systems used in industrial equipment and manufacturing processes. The role will support PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics, and industrial networking applications with a focus on equipment performance, reliability, safety, and productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Design and implement electrical control systems for industrial equipment and manufacturing processes. 2. Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. 3. Configure and maintain industrial communication networks including Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profinet, and Modbus. 4. Perform system testing, commissioning, and startup support for new equipment. 5. Troubleshoot automation, electrical, and process equipment issues. 6. Develop and maintain electrical schematics, control-panel layouts, and technical documentation. 7. Support continuous-improvement projects focused on increasing efficiency and reducing downtime. 8. Follow applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory requirements, and company safety policies. 9. Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. 2. Experience programming PLCs such as Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or comparable platforms. 3. Experience developing HMI and SCADA systems. 4. Knowledge of industrial automation systems, sensors, drives, servos, and motion control. 5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. 6. Ability to read and create electrical schematics and control drawings. #PSDH
