Job DescriptionCRB is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Electrical Engineer with a strong background in building and industrial power systems to lead electrical design efforts on complex projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical systems, mentoring engineering teams, and partnering with clients, project managers, and construction teams from concept through construction.
This role is ideal for a licensed electrical engineer with hands‑on experience in power distribution, lighting, and special systems who enjoys technical leadership, solving complex field challenges, and delivering high‑quality, constructible designs in regulated environments.
ResponsibilitiesLead Electrical Design & Project DeliveryLead electrical design for complex projects across all phases, including programming, design development, construction documentation, and construction supportDesign and coordinate low‑ and medium‑voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, panelboards, transformers, feeders, grounding, and protective devicesPerform advanced power system calculations, including load studies, short‑circuit analysis, voltage drop, and arc flash evaluationsDevelop electrical construction drawings and specifications that are fully code‑compliant and construction‑readyIdentify and resolve complex existing conditions through site visits and field surveysTeam Leadership & CollaborationDirect and coordinate the work of electrical engineers and designers at various experience levelsCollaborate with project managers on scope definition, scheduling, staffing, and electrical discipline budgetsWork closely with architectural, mechanical, structural, process, and construction teams to ensure integrated design solutionsCoordinate with contractors, vendors, utilities, and equipment manufacturers to support design and installation of electrical systemsConstruction & Quality SupportProvide technical leadership during construction, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, site observations, and punch list developmentPerform detailed quality reviews of electrical documents, calculations, and designs to ensure technical accuracy and overall project qualityMentorship & GrowthMentor and develop junior and mid‑level electrical engineers and designersPromote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the electrical teamQualificationsRequired QualificationsABET‑accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design firm environmentActive Professional Engineer (PE) licenseProven experience designing and leading projects involving building or industrial power systems and voltage‑based electrical infrastructurePreferred ExperienceExperience in GMP manufacturing environments, including life sciences or food & beverage facilitiesStrong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable building codesHands‑on experience with:
