Electrical Engineer Job Description This individual will be responsible for the electrical design of custom fire apparatus. Tasks include drawing schematics and harnesses, creating manual content as well as operational and troubleshooting guides for customers and shop associates to meet our production schedule. This individual must have the ability to interface with all levels of a manufacturing organization and have a proven track record as a design engineer. Responsibilities Design electrical systems for custom fire apparatus. Draw and develop schematics and wire harness designs. Create operational manuals and troubleshooting guides for customers and shop associates. Collaborate with all levels of the manufacturing organization. Manage engineering change orders and bills of material. Utilize PLC programming and control panel design. Work with CAN-BUS systems and hardware design. Essential Skills Electrical engineering expertise. Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design. Experience with ladder logic programming. Ability to create and interpret schematics. Knowledge of GUI and drafting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred. Associate's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology considered. 2-4 years of relevant experience. Work Environment The work environment includes a very well-lit engineering room with five rows of cubicles for engineers and supervisor offices around the perimeter. The team is located upstairs, just outside the door from the manufacturing plant. The atmosphere is laid-back and collaborative, fostering a team-like and family-oriented environment. The manufacturing floor is spacious, clean, and well-lit, with a moderate noise level. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Snyder, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
