Overview Build the Systems That Power the Next Generation of Technology At Veeco, our equipment enables the world's most advanced semiconductors, photonics, MEMS, and compound devices. Veeco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a critical role in designing precision motion control, sensing, and embedded electronic systems that make these breakthroughs possible. In this hands‑on senior individual contributor role, you will own critical electrical subsystems—from architectural definition through validation and field deployment—on complex, high‑performance semiconductor manufacturing platforms. You will work at the intersection of control theory, embedded electronics, real‑time software, and industrial automation, collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to solve challenging technical problems. Responsibilities Create and refine high‑performance, multi‑axis motion control systems that deliver repeatable, nanometer‑scale positioning.
Integrate advanced sensing technologies—optical, capacitive, inductive, and laser‑based—into closed‑loop control architectures.
Model system behavior, perform tuning and stability analysis, and ensure robust operation across real‑world conditions.
Translate system‑level requirements into detailed electrical and control specifications for actuators, sensors, encoders, and electronics.
Evaluate technologies and suppliers with a balance of performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
Develop real‑time control software using C, C++, Python, and
