is searching for a Controls Integration Engineer, for our Power & Infrastructure Department. POSITION SUMMARY
As the Controls Integration Engineer, you will develop and participate in growing Concord Engineering's dynamic and industry leading business unit delivering system designs and solutions for microgrids, distributed generation systems, central utility plants, water and wastewater authorities and energy infrastructure projects. Candidate will be expected to work across engineering disciplines and engage and interact with established industry controls integrators.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Perform controls engineering design duties under the supervision of the Director of Electrical Engineering Design control system architecture consisting of PLC, DCS and SCADA based systems. Design control system communication schemes and protocols Specify cybersecurity requirements Specify control system requirements for power and utility equipment including: boilers, engine generators, pumping systems, gas compressors, water and waste water unit operations Develop control systems equipment, materials and installation specifications Develop control system loop diagrams Evaluate control system integration proposals and review technical submittals Assist in project coordination with other engineering disciplines Layout electrical equipment, route conduit, duct-bank and cable systems Support construction in the office and field by reviewing submittals, shop drawings and reports, as well as inspecting installation and oversee testing and commissioning. Respond to customer and contractor questions. Participate in site surveys and inspections.
REQUIREMENTS BS
in Engineering Minimum 5-10 years professional experience with proven progression in engineering, particularly in power, distributive generation, or related field. Experience in executing a multi-discipline projects utilizing AutoCad or Revit programs. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure a plus. Must be knowledgeable of local, state and national code requirements. Knowledge and experience engineering control systems for power stations, central utility plants, water and waste-water plants Knowledge and experience specifying grid connecting switchgear and systems Knowledge and experience with all major PLC based control systems: Rockwell, Schneider, etc. Knowledge and experience with major DCS systems: ABB, Emerson, GE, Honeywell, etc. Experience in managing and coordinating multidiscipline projects. Working knowledge and utilization of Autocad. Revit experience is a plus. Must be a good time manager, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions. Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage engineering design projects Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and have strong technical writing skills and technical documentation skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports. Able to read, write, speak and understand English Desire to participate in project development, proposal development and growing the business line is highly desirable
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000 with actual salary based on experience.

Perform design, layout, and drafting accurately from preliminary sketches or verbal instructions; ensuring technical correctness of drawings by using applicable job standards and specifications Interpret design drawings from other disciplines, being able to recognize obvious interferences and incompatible designs Perform design calculations accurately and neatly. Maintain records for all calculations
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent understanding of the capabilities, uses, application and operation of Revit and AutoCAD Basic understanding of supplier catalogs required for material and equipment. Meticulous attention to detail Able to prioritize as well as multi-task Excellent communication skills Able to work collaboratively within Concord as well with the client. Able to read, write, speak and understand English
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in related field or relevant experience As an alternative: successful completion of internship program
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $104,000 with actual salary based on experience.

Candidate will be expected to lead design of electrical infrastructure systems and projects, manage electrical projects, respond to Requests for Proposals, develop client and strategic client relationships.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Perform electrical engineering design duties under the supervision of the Director of Electrical Engineering Design grid-connected power generation systems including electrical single-line diagrams, grid interconnection applications, associated balance of electrical systems. Develop electrical equipment, materials and installation specifications. Evaluate equipment proposals and review technical submittals. Assist in project coordination with other engineering disciplines.
Perform calculations and analysis reports:
short circuit, relay & breaker coordination, arc flash, grounding, cable sizing, etc. Layout electrical equipment, route conduit, duct-bank and cable systems Support construction in the office and field by reviewing submittals, shop drawings and reports, as well as inspecting installation and oversee testing and commissioning. Respond to customer and contractor questions. Participate in site surveys and inspections.
REQUIREMENTS
Registered and active Professional Engineering license Knowledge and experience engineering grid interconnection of power generation systems: internal combustion engines, combustion turbines, PV solar, battery energy storage Knowledge and experience engineering/design: HV and MV substations connecting to grid Knowledge and experience specifying grid connecting switchgear and systems Knowledge and experience with one or more electric systems modelling software: ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, HOMER Knowledge and experience with developing electrical analysis/studies: load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, harmonics, lightning protection Knowledge and experience with developing multifunctional relay/meter configuring and programming files Experience in managing and coordinating multidiscipline projects. Working knowledge and utilization of Autocad. Revit experience is a plus. Must be a good time manager, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions.
