Months Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday; onsite no later than 7:00 AM through 3:00/3:30 PM (8 hours/day); 40 hours/week. Overtime possible but not a regular ask.
Work Arrangement:
100% Onsite (Hopewell, NJ Manufacturing Site)

Position Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated and organized Jr. Engineer to join our team at the Hopewell, NJ site. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily oversight and management of construction and maintenance contractors in compliance with facilities & engineering, manufacturing, EHS, and site security requirements.
Background & Context:
The individual will support cross-functional capital and operational projects spanning manufacturing, facilities, and utilities. This role will collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure construction and maintenance are completed within compliance with site Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance, and CapEx and OpEx projects. Daily oversight, escorting, and safety onboarding of construction and maintenance contractors for work on process systems, utility systems, and building infrastructure. Monitor the progress of contractors and report progress to the project manager. Enforce our organization's safety and security procedures, and ensure contractors adhere to all procedures including escorting, gowning, badging, safety forms, high-risk work permitting (hot work, lock-out-tag-out, fall protection, confined space, etc.). Provide engineering project management and maintenance coordination support to project managers. Perform miscellaneous work related to projects, maintenance, or facilities as directed.
Qualification & Experience:
Contractor oversight in construction and maintenance. Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements in construction projects or maintenance. Ability to read engineering drawings is preferred. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills 1-2 years of contractor oversight in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry. Associate's, Bachelor's, or advanced degree in an engineering-related field. Ability to work in an office environment, construction site, utilities/maintenance areas, and laboratory or manufacturing areas. Must be able to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended period.

Must be able to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended period. Candidates must be comfortable working in a secure facility, gowning, GMP, clean room and controlled environments.
Additional Information:
Engineering-related field is preferred. STEM major is acceptable as long as the hands-on experience is in overseeing construction and facilities maintenance.
