Job Description

Job Title:
Electrical Engineer Job Description This position is responsible for the electrical design and development engineering for all equipment, including engineering calculations, layouts, and schematic diagrams utilizing our Computer Assisted Design (CAD) system along with
PLC & HMI
code. It is also responsible for customer technical support, as well as manufacturing support for sub-contracted and in-house manufactured control systems. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems and components. Perform engineering calculations and create layouts and schematic diagrams. Utilize CAD systems for design purposes. Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley or Siemens. Develop and work with HMI software such as FactoryTalk or similar. Control VFDs through HMI and PLCs. Provide technical support to customers. Support manufacturing processes for control systems. Essential Skills Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Proficiency in PLCs/RS Logix - Allen Bradley or Siemens. Experience with HMI software such as FactoryTalk. Knowledge of controlling VFDs through HMI and PLCs. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or general CAD knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications 5 years of experience with Rockwell Rslogix500 and RsLogix5000 platforms and FactoryTalk View. Working knowledge of commercial machinery control devices, e.g., proximity switches, solenoid valves, transducers, switches, buttons, and lamps. Sound understanding of AC & DC motor control systems, especially with VFDs. Work Environment The work environment is an office setting with approximately 35 employees, including one Mechanical Engineer, three Electrical Engineers, two Engineering Technicians, and an Engineering Manager. The company operates globally and collaborates closely with a team in Germany. The role offers a lot of hands-on experience and exposure to the full product development life cycle of equipment design and build. The company promotes a small company feel with a team-oriented environment, providing opportunities to see projects from inception to completion. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swedesboro, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
