Role:
As an Electrical Engineer within the manufacturing sector, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems that support power distribution and control. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative electrical designs, including PCB layouts, that meet rigorous industry standards. This role demands a strong focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement to address complex electrical challenges in a dynamic production environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Proven experience with electrical design and power distribution in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and schematic capture. Hands-on experience with LabVIEW for electrical testing and automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Experience with advanced protective relay coordination and settings. Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, NEC, and NEMA. Knowledge of automation and control systems. Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems and components, including power distribution networks and control circuits, tailored for manufacturing applications. Create detailed PCB layouts and electrical schematics using Altium Designer to support product development. Utilize LabVIEW for testing, automation, and data acquisition to validate electrical designs and ensure system performance. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments related to electrical design and power distribution systems. Document design processes, test results, and maintenance procedures to maintain comprehensive technical records.
Skills:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will apply advanced technical skills daily to design and optimize electrical systems that meet rigorous performance and safety standards. Proficiency in electrical design software enables efficient creation and modification of schematics and layouts, facilitating clear communication with manufacturing and quality teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for diagnosing system faults and implementing effective solutions under tight deadlines. Leadership and mentoring skills are utilized to guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Additionally, excellent communication skills support cross-functional collaboration and the preparation of detailed technical documentation required for regulatory compliance and stakeholder review.
