Electrical Engineering Full Job Description Electrical Engineer Raven Defense Corporation Job Location:
Albuquerque, NM Raven Defense is a technology company based in Albuquerque, NM dedicated to providing high quality engineering services, expert program consultation, and highly specialized technical equipment to meet our customer's demanding requirements deployable sensors, and cutting-edge research, development, test and evaluation systems. Established in 2018 as a privately held small business, Raven Defense is focused on being an agile and responsive partner able to react to changing customer needs. Raven Defense is searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical focal point for our electrical design, modeling, assembly, and troubleshooting operations in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will seamlessly bridge the gap between complex customer requirements and mission-ready hardware, working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where your designs move rapidly from the screen to the field.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Analysis:
Lead electrical loads analysis, complex harness design, and selection and integration of COTS equipment
Hardware Development:
Drive the design and prototyping of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for telemetry, RF, or mixed-signal applications.
Hands-on Integration:
Perform system wiring, troubleshooting, and field-level repairs of mission-critical equipment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as the electrical lead within a small, agile team to develop novel solutions for Satellite Communications, Telemetry, and Electronic Warfare.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience developing electrical schematics, harness drawings, and performing hands-on system integration Proven ability to maintain technical excellence in a high-tempo environment with shifting priorities and mission-critical deadlines Proficiency in DoD guidelines and standards, security procedures, testing protocols, and administrative standards
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in defense/aerospace electrical integration Working knowledge of at least one discipline of; circuit card design, RF, mixed signal design, or defense industry electrical engineering standards Experience in airborne or maritime electrical system integration activities Thorough understanding of the whole design lifecycle and ability to work outside core function Background in the DoD RDT&E community (Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation)
Travel:
Occasional travel, up to 25%, is required for this position. Travel will include customer and vendor visits in office/meeting environments as well as engineering support requirements which may include CONUS and OCONUS deployment aboard specialized RDT&E assets in support of customer requirements. Candidate must be capable of meeting FAA medical flight clearance requirements
Citizenship and Clearance:
US Citizenship is required for this position Candidate must meet minimum eligibility requirements to obtain a US DoD Top Secret level security clearance
