Job Description Job Description AECOM is seeking an initiative-taking electrical engineer with an electrical engineering background to be based in the Reno, Nevada office to support mining projects in the planning and design phases. Open to considering individuals that are not from the mining field but that have industrial electrical engineering experience. Job Summary/Responsibilities Technical resources may serve as technical advisor for team. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Provides guidance to entry level engineers. Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and designs. Proposes approach to solve problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Identifies discrepancies in results and presents alternative solutions to solve the identified discrepancies. Serve as lead electrical engineer or discipline lead on mid
- to large size projects.
PE. MSHA
Miner training Experience in processing instrumentation and controls. Lead designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, construction specifications, and final working drawings. Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems to coordinate with designers to produce construction-level drawings. Strong written and oral communication, quantitative, and people skills Strong work ethic and professional demeanor. Initiative-taking on assignments and demonstrate initiative. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and complete multiple technical tasks under tight deadlines. Author reports and prepare detailed calculation packages including proper documentation and references. Must be resourceful, highly organized, professional with attention to detail and people. Additional Information Sponsorship will not be provided for this role. Relocation is not provided for this role. Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations for projects.
