Overview We are seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our in-house engineering team. This position will be responsible for electrical design, technical review of electrical drawings and specifications, and providing professional engineering approval and stamping of applicable design documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background with experience reviewing construction documents and electrical designs for code compliance, constructability and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Develop and review electrical designs, drawings and specifications Review electrical construction documents for technical accuracy and code compliance Provide PE review, approval and stamping of electrical drawings and engineering documents as required Perform electrical calculations and verify design criteria Review single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, panel schedules and electrical distribution designs Identify design conflicts, deficiencies and constructability issues Respond to RFIs and provide technical direction to project and construction teams Review submittals and technical documentation Coordinate with project managers, field teams, other engineering disciplines and outside consultants Assist with design changes and field-related engineering issues throughout construction Ensure designs comply with applicable NEC, local codes, project specifications and engineering standards Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawing revisions

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required Experience designing and reviewing electrical systems Experience reviewing and stamping electrical drawings and engineering documents Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable electrical standards Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and construction documents Experience with commercial, industrial or large-scale construction projects preferred Strong technical problem-solving skills Ability to work directly with project and field teams to resolve design and construction issues Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar electrical design software preferred
