Senior Electrical Engineer
- Chestnut Ridge, NY
- Onsite
- Up to $189,000 The Opportunity We are looking for a visionary Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join an elite R&D team developing next-generation, high-value test and measurement instruments and high-frequency acquisition systems.
In this role, you won't just be maintaining legacy products—you will architect and design complex electronic subsystems from a blank canvas all the way through to mass production. If you thrive on solving complex signal integrity, precision analog, and gigahertz-range RF challenges, this is your sandbox. What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)
Architect & Design:
Lead the design of front-end RF & Microwave assemblies, precision analog/mixed-signal circuitry, high-speed ADCs, DACs, and power supplies used in next-generation probes and data acquisition hardware.
ECAD & Layout:
Create complex schematic designs and oversee the layout of high-frequency PCBs, ceramic, and organic packages.
Simulation:
Utilize cutting-edge EDA and 3D electromagnetic simulation tools to model performance, analyze time/frequency domains, and mitigate design risks.
Prototype Validation:
Design custom test fixtures and automated test routines to bring prototypes to life using high-end laboratory equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, High-Bandwidth Scopes). What We're Looking For (Required Credentials)
Education:
BSEE or MSEE degree.
Experience:
5 to 10+ years of dedicated hands-on electronic design experience.
RF Circuit Design Mastery:
A proven track record in high-frequency RF and microwave circuit design.
Simulation Tool Fluency:
Direct, hands-on experience with at least one major RF simulation suite (e.g., ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, CST, Sonnet, or Genesys).
Lab Expertise:
Advanced laboratory skills using high-end instrumentation to validate complex hardware systems.
Preferred / Plus
Skills Knowledge of general electronic design (microcontrollers, clocking architectures, power supply design). Scripting capabilities (Python, VB, or similar) for measurement automation and data analysis. Experience coordinating across cross-disciplinary teams (Mechanical, Software, and Manufacturing).
