This client is specifically looking for candidates with 4+ years of U.S. military experience- Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Maintenance Technician for their location in Elmira NY.
Compensation:
$30.00-37.00/hourWhat You Will Do:
Install and perform preventive maintenance/repairs on electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear, HVAC electrical components, and power distribution panels up to 480 Volt AC and 1550 Volt DC. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in systems including lighting, climate control, and security, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions. Conduct regular inspections to identify issues like wear, corrosion, or malfunction, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Install and replace electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and panels, following blueprints, schematics, and applicable codes. Utilize test equipment to diagnose issues and verify system performance, ensuring reliability and compliance with operational needs. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and safety standards, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and inspections. Assist with troubleshooting and repair of automation and control systems, such as energy management systems, fire alarms, communication systems and security equipment. Support the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules to improve performance and reduce downtime. Respond quickly to emergency electrical issues, providing efficient solutions to minimize operational disruptions. Recommend upgrades or replacements to enhance safety, energy efficiency, and overall system effectiveness. This role is ideal for someone who is:- Mechanically inclined

Education and Work Experience:
4+ years Active Duty US Military experience required 2+ years of related experience as an electrical maintenance technician, electrician, or similar role is required; must have a strong background in electrical maintenance and associated safety protocols .Must have experience with:
Electrical maintenance; Preventive maintenance; Electrical troubleshooting; Using multimeters and electrical test equipment; HVAC electrical components; Power distribution systems; Lighting systems; Electrical panels; Wiring and schematics; Motors and controls; Building systems maintenanceTitle:
