Job Description
About the Role As a Lead Industrial Automation Specialist, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of custom control solutions, from initial design to final fabrication. You will drive operational excellence by mentoring technical staff and leveraging your expertise in AutoCAD Electrical and PLC programming to deliver high-performance industrial systems. Responsibilities Direct daily production workflows within the fabrication facility to ensure optimal throughput and quality standards. Develop detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and comprehensive bills of materials using AutoCAD Electrical. Manage the procurement and specification of critical control components to maintain project timelines and budgets. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and expand the reach of our custom control solutions. Configure and troubleshoot complex PLC, HMI, and VFD systems to meet diverse application requirements. Validate system integrity through rigorous factory acceptance testing and ensure all builds strictly adhere to UL 508A safety standards. Provide expert-level technical guidance to clients and supervise a team of technicians to foster a high-output, collaborative environment. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience in industrial control design. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for complex system drafting. Proven track record in the design, assembly, and testing of industrial control panels. Strong technical background in PLC/HMI programming and VFD integration. Comprehensive understanding of UL 508A compliance and industrial safety protocols. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor staff and communicate technical concepts clearly. Preferred Skills Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory and production management. Expertise in industrial electrical system troubleshooting and field service support. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for project documentation and reporting.
