Job Description
Job Overview The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, programming, validation, and continuous improvement of electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in product development and manufacturing. This role contributes to research and development activities, including circuit design, embedded programming, and system-level testing, to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements. The Electrical Engineer defines test methods, analyzes performance, and resolves technical issues while working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Test Technicians to support product performance throughout the lifecycle. This position requires a strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design and analysis. Research, Design & Development Participate in research and development of new products, technologies, and design concepts Design and evaluate analog and digital circuits, including signal conditioning, power regulation, and embedded control systems Develop and modify embedded firmware/software to support product functionality, testing, and system integration Conduct feasibility studies, proof-of-concept testing, and design evaluations Identify technical risks and recommend design or process improvements based on analysis and testing Design and develop electrical circuits, assemblies, and systems based on defined requirements Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and supporting technical documentation Select and evaluate components for performance, reliability, and manufacturability Support design reviews and implement improvements to enhance product performance and quality Manage engineering changes, including documentation updates, revision control, and implementation support Testing, Validation & Engineering Analysis Develop and define electrical test methods, validation plans, and acceptance criteria Analyze test data to verify performance, identify trends, and ensure compliance with specifications Support and guide Test Technicians in executing test procedures and troubleshooting failures Investigate product failures and perform root cause analysis at the circuit and system level Evaluate test processes for repeatability, accuracy, and efficiency, and implement improvements Prepare and maintain engineering test reports, validation documentation, and analysis records Prototyping & Product Verification Build, program, and evaluate prototypes to verify design intent and functionality Develop test setups, fixtures, and automated test methods where applicable Perform functional, environmental, and reliability testing Support integration of hardware and firmware to ensure proper system operation Manufacturing & Product Verification Provide engineering support to Production and Test Technicians to resolve electrical and system-level issues Assist in troubleshooting test stations, equipment, and product failures on the production floor Collaborate with Quality to investigate nonconforming product and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Support implementation and validation of manufacturing processes, including participation in
