Job Description:

Velocity Architecture & Engineering DPC is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to work on a wide variety of projects in the NY public sector. This is a great opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be Electrical Engineering graduate who is pursuing a career in a consulting engineering environment/building systems design.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Support project teams in the development of electrical and fire alarm system designs, from initial concept through construction administration. Develop preliminary selections and apply engineering principals. Prepare engineering related calculations, develop drawings and other visual aids. Research and apply building, regulatory, and industry code requirements. Utilize electrical design software.

Minimum Requirements:

Excellent communication skills Experience with AutoCAD based design projects is required, Revit experience/training is a plus Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel EIT or commitment to obtaining (ie, scheduled FE exam) is preferred Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) is a plus
