Job Description

Controls Engineer (100-120K) We are seeking a Controls Engineer to work for a World Class Manufacturer near the Oneida, NY area.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of VFDs, motors, filters, protection devices, PLC's, and HMI's. Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic systems, along with Siemens controls support. Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across multiple local facilities (approximately 30% travel). Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, including equipment diagnostics, upgrades, wiring, and real-time machine issue resolution. Connect to equipment, diagnose control system issues, and modify or develop PLC logic to support production and operational improvements.
Education and Experience :
AAS or BS in Engineering and 5+ years of experience. Will also consider multiple years of equivalent experience in lieu of formal degree. Experience with PLC's, HMI's and AutoCAD. Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standard. Candidates must be eligible to work in US without restriction indefinitely.
