About the Role A manufacturing facility in Potsdam is seeking an Electrical Engineer to improve the reliability, safety, and performance of its production equipment and electrical systems. This is a hands-on role that combines troubleshooting, PLC programming, engineering projects, and technical support for maintenance and operations teams. What You'll Do Troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, industrial drives, and production equipment. Identify the root causes of recurring failures and recommend lasting improvements. Support preventive maintenance planning and electrical reliability efforts. Lead electrical portions of equipment upgrades and capital projects, from design through installation and commissioning. Work with electricians, operations teams, equipment suppliers, and outside contractors. Maintain electrical drawings, equipment documentation, and safe work procedures. Help ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards, including NEC and
NFPA 70E.
What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience programming PLCs and working with industrial drives. Strong troubleshooting skills in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently. Knowledge of electrical safety practices and applicable codes. Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and operations teams. Experience with power distribution, switchgear, AutoCAD, equipment commissioning, or paper manufacturing is a plus. This is an onsite role. Some flexibility is needed during installations, planned shutdowns, and urgent equipment issues.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
