Note:
The position requires hands-on experience with large-scale instrumentation, including independent fixture design and system integration. Additionally, the role involves active troubleshooting of electronic systems during integration, which requires strong and current application of core electronic fundamentals. We observed indications that this may be an area where additional ramp-up would be needed. The client is looking for Electrical design and Test Fixture background; they are not looking for Wire Harness Candidates.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer for the development, integration, characterization, and troubleshooting of subsystem-level electrical testers. This role is highly technical and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on practical hardware engineering. The ideal candidate should have 4-8 years of recent hands-on experience in designing and building electronics and semi-automated test systems, integrating hardware/software, and debugging complex electrical issues.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field 4-8 years of hands-on experience in: Test system development Subsystem-level electrical integration & characterization Experience in: Analog & digital circuit design/debugging Power electronics (low-voltage/high-current systems) Strong troubleshooting skills using lab tools Experience across full lifecycle: concept → build → bring-up → support
Strongly Preferred:
Embedded subsystems Motion control systems Sensor & transducer technologies Power distribution systems Communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485)
Key Skills:
Wire harness design & routing Electrical schematics interpretation NX Routing (3D harness design) Component selection & validation Strong analytical and communication skills
