Co-op Electrical Engineering - Harrison, OH Ready to gain real-world electrical engineering experience while still in school? Cincinnati Incorporated is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience supporting the design, development, and improvement of electrical systems and equipment. You'll have the opportunity to work on real engineering projects, research and test equipment and components, develop alternative designs, and support projects from concept through completion while learning from experienced engineering professionals. This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineering student looking to build technical skills and gain practical experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Support the design and development of engineering projects and sales orders Specify system components and assist with product modifications to meet engineering and performance requirements Research, test, and analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems Develop and test alternative designs and processing methods to evaluate feasibility and identify potential improvements Utilize 2D CAD to support engineering projects and designs Review and update technical manuals, documentation, and supplemental materials Support lean practices by identifying opportunities to eliminate waste and create value for the customer Work collaboratively with engineering and cross-functional teams to complete projects and meet customer requirements What We're Looking For Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience or coursework involving 2D CAD Ability to research, analyze, test, and evaluate engineering concepts Strong planning and organizational skills Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work toward project deadlines Interest in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team Desire to gain hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment About Cincinnati Incorporated Cincinnati Incorporated (CI) has been manufacturing industrial machinery since the late 1890s and remains a respected name in the fabrication industry. Position Overview Develop engineering discipline for product lines by studying customer requirements, and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials. Essential Functions Direct and perform the design and development engineering on various size (small to major) research and development projects or sales orders Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems. Develop and test models of alternative designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification Review new and existing writings of manuals and documentation, adding supplemental materials as required
Work Experience Required Experience:
Less than 1 year Ability to perform tasks necessary to support engineering projects and sales orders Familiarity with 2D CAD Strong customer orientation Ability to think ahead, plan, and organize project activities Willingness to adopt and promote lean practices Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsEducation Required Degree Level:
Undergraduate Currently enrolled in and pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Physical Demands:
This position is very active and requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing of ladders. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:
