Job Description

Responsibilities Maintain plant equipment and report equipment concerns and any additional information as required by the Plant Engineer. Responsible for the preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same. Responsible for the calibration of electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same. Responsible for adhering to electrical policies, practices and procedures as defined by the Plant Engineer. Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis. Responsible for promoting a working environment that incorporates a teamwork philosophy. Responsible for the repair of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Responsible for assisting the Engineering department in new equipment installation and existing equipment modifications. Responsible for the basic programming of PLC's and related equipment. Responsible for coordinating with the production and converting departments, on proper time to efficiently repair and perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Coordinate with and carry out the jobs assigned to the electrical department with the Plant Engineer. Responsible for standby call, for equipment problems at night and weekends on a rotating basis. Additional job functions as defined by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Two-year degree in Industrial Electronics/Electricity or equivalent experience. Strong computer skills. Must demonstrate strong leadership skills. Demonstrate the skills necessary to train personnel. Willingness to further develop skill base with continuing experience and professional training. Must demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong teamwork relationships. Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
