Electrical Engineer Job Description The Electrical Engineer will complete engineering, design, and analysis of electrical systems within company products with a focus on component integration into a functional system. Components could include control panels, sensors, various pumps, pneumatics, etc. This role is highly collaborative with Mechanical, Process, and Controls Engineers. Responsibilities Perform electrical engineering, design, and analysis. Identify problems and propose operational solutions to complex projects and tasks. Document product designs and ensure the release of accurate designs to manufacturing teams. Communicate the nature and status of work performed to appropriate management. Assist mechanical and process engineers in the selection and qualification of new and replacement components. Input drawings and design packages into the PLM system and release via the ECO process. Conduct design reviews and post-mortem analysis of designs. Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Manage projects with minimal guidance. May direct the work of others within the department. Essential Skills Electrical engineering Electrical design AutoCAD skills required Solidworks 23 highly preferred Technical knowledge of: 220V 3-phase inputs, sensor components, driving pumps, various signal inputs and outputs to PLC, HMIs and electrical layouts, control panel design, electrical system design Exceptional Excel skills are mandatory Additional Skills & Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering (equivalent work experience or combination of education/experience will be considered) 3-5 years of engineering or related work experience Knowledge of design processes and ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, practices, and procedures Working knowledge of low-noise, mixed signal design highly preferred Ability to interact and collaborate with colleagues and customers Work Environment Onsite full-time in Tualatin, OR, working on a team that collaborates highly with Mechanical, Process, and Controls teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
