$110,000•$145,000 per year Job Details•As a Controls Engineer, you will support conveyor, robotic, and integration projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning, startup, and customer support. This role requires a strong combination of controls engineering, PLC programming, electrical design, system integration, and customer-facing communication skills. Responsibilities Develop and support PLC and automation software solutions Perform electrical hardware engineering and controls design Create electrical schematics and panel designs Design and support HMI and SCADA applications Commission machinery, automation systems, and integrated solutions Support startup activities and customer acceptance testing Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC systems Configure motion control and servo systems Support robotic integration projects Assist with sales support, quoting, and conceptual design Train customers on system operation and maintenance Manage controls-related project deliverables and subprojects Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues during implementation and support phases Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred 5+ years of controls engineering experience Strong Allen Bradley PLC programming experience Experience designing systems to NEC, NFPA, UL, and related standards Experience creating electrical schematics and panel designs Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems Experience with fieldbus communication technologies Experience commissioning industrial automation systems Strong understanding of sensors, barcode readers, RFID systems, and industrial controls Experience with pneumatics, valves, actuators, and machine control systems Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Ability to travel 25%•40% Preferred Qualifications Experience with Siemens, Omron, or Beckhoff PLC platforms FactoryTalk Optix experience Motion control and servo programming experience Robotics programming experience with FANUC, Universal Robots (UR), or Omron Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Electric P8 C++ or Java programming experience Electrical License Bilingual communication skills A bit about us:•We are a global leader in automation, conveyor systems, robotics, and material handling solutions serving customers across the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, automotive, and electronics industries.
