Apply Now Job Description Summary We are seeking a driven Lead Electrical Module Engineer to lead the development and standardization of electrical control circuits and panel layouts for circuit breaker products. In this role you will play a key part in creating reusable circuit modules, establishing design standards, and reducing engineering variation across the product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve design consistency, support production efficiency, and enable long-term automation, offshoring, and outsourcing strategies. Relocation and/or Visa sponsorship may be provided. Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Define and document standardized base electrical circuits that will serve as the foundation of the platform across circuit breaker product types Develop reusable and modular circuit building blocks that can be systematically configured to meet varying customer requirements while minimizing new design variation Establish and maintain panel layout standards across product variants to improve consistency, reduce assembly complexity, and support repeatable production Collaborate with engineering, production, and commercial teams to ensure standardized designs meet customer, quality, and manufacturing requirements Support wiring and manufacturing teams by improving design clarity, reducing rework, and driving first-pass quality Identify opportunities to reduce part number proliferation and component variety through standardization of circuit and panel designs Support offshoring and outsourcing initiatives by creating robust engineering standards and repeatable design practices Contribute to design-for-automation initiatives as the platform and manufacturing processes continue to mature Maintain engineering documentation and standards to ensure long-term sustainment and continuous improvement of the product platform Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college Minimum 4 years of experience as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing environment Minimum 4 years of experience designing electrical control circuits, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials Minimum 4 years of experience working with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and commercial functions Desired Characteristics Prior experience working with engineer-to-order products Strong understanding of electrical standardization and modular design practices Able to analyze customer specifications and translate requirements into scalable standard designs Willing to work closely with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues and improve manufacturability Experience supporting process improvement, standardization, or design-for-manufacturing initiatives Proficient in AutoCAD or similar electrical design software Prior experience with circuit breakers, switchgear, or related substation components is preferred GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
