Job Description
Electrical Engineer Job Description The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for engaging with customers and the sales, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to arrive upon the optimal design and layout of UL and NEMA 3R, 4X, and other similar-style electrical enclosures, new products, and non-UL enclosure business. Responsibilities Engage with customers and internal teams to determine optimal design and layout of electrical enclosures. Design electrical enclosures in compliance with UL508A standards and
NEMA 3R/4X.
Develop electrical schematics, interconnect wiring diagrams, and panel drawing designs using AutoCAD Electrical. Follow diagrams, blueprints, and interrupt specifications. Assist in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems. Collaborate with the team to create Bills of Materials (BOM). Work with the manufacturing and sales teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering and/or electro-mechanical design of industrial equipment. 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD Electrical for electrical schematics, interconnect wiring diagrams, and panel drawing design. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent. Experience designing to standards such as UL508A. Working knowledge of following diagrams, blueprints, and interrupt specifications. Work Environment You will work with a team of electrical engineers, including four mechanical engineers and one electrical engineer. The role is primarily office-based with floor communication. The environment is low-pressure with low turnover and encourages teamwork and training of production personnel. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.74 - $32.69/hr.
