Job Description

We're seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join a leading engineering, design and manufacturing company. This role is responsible for driving product improvements, developing and enhancing control systems, troubleshooting electrical and automation issues, and supporting the launch of new equipment and technologies. There is no application deadline for this role.
Electrical Controls Engineer Responsibilities :
Lead initiatives for process improvements and new product development, ensuring all electrical and controls aspects meet testing and qualification standards before release. Oversee upgrades and revisions to control systems, including hardware and software modifications, documentation, and validation. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical and control system issues in the field. Develop and maintain PLC control programs, drawings, and lifecycle documentation, ensuring compliance with standards. Collaborate with suppliers and regulatory teams to implement product enhancements and ensure quality standards are met.
Electrical Controls Engineer Qualifications :
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience. Proven expertise in ladder logic programming and proficiency with RS Logix 500 & 5000. Full understanding of P&ID, process, and electrical wiring diagrams. Experience with control hardware such as Proface, PanelView, and communication protocols. Strong technical writing skills, familiarity with cGMP validation protocols, and ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
